SAVANNAH CAMPS & LODGES own and operate small, friendly and comfortable safari camps throughout Kenya's most fascinating ecosystems. Each camp and lodge has highly trained resident guides to interpret the abundant wildlife for you. By using specially designed four wheel vehicles we are able to incorporate game drives into your itinerary, into areas totally inaccessible to the more general tourists in less powerful vehicles, giving total flexibility and privacy. Meanwhile, our experienced management staff will prepare delicious meals and look after all of your needs and expectations whilst back at the camp.

Together these properties offer the perfect introduction to the Best of East Africa - Africa's unique Afro-alpine environment can be explored from Sangare Ranch. The Rift Valley is the greatest fissure on the Earth surface and has the world's greatest bird spectacle, and obviously one must visit the Maasai Mara - the greatest of Africa's great game viewing. Lewa Downs meanwhile is one of East Africa's most successful private conservancies and Black Rhino breeding sanctuaries, and Indian Ocean Lodge one of the most charming and isolated hideaways ideally situated on the edge of the Malindi Marine Park.

These camps & lodges are in my opinion ideal; they offer a good blend of the affordable luxury without being 'over the top, yet maintaining the old 'Out of Africa' style camping safari atmosphere. The addition of all the conveniences that we usually take for granted make your stay as comfortable as your own home. Private en-suite bathrooms with running hot and cold water, flush toilets, electric light, a variety of comfortable bedroom furnishings, laundry and maintenance facilities, delicious home cooking, and fully stocked cash bar.

ALL camps and lodges are linked by light aircraft DAILY. ALL our prices are based on a simple PER PERSON PER OVERNIGHT basis, this includes ALL of your needs while in Kenya, including inter-camp transportation, accommodation, meals, park & reserve fees, escorted nature walks, interesting day & night game drives etc while in camp. Don't waste your time driving vast distances on rough and dusty roads - don't get swamped in huge tourist hotels where you see more tourists than wildlife, and PLEASE don't be guided by inexperienced, unenthusiastic and untrained casual tour drivers.
