• Ranger Safaris is a major ground operator, not a marketing organization or tour operator. This is the company that owns the vehicles, employs the drivers and is directly responsible in practical and legal terms for all the aspects of your safari.
  
• Ranger Safaris Ltd. is an incorporated company, registered in Tanzania, part of the TUI group, one of Europe's largest tourism conglomerates. We have been in business for over 20 years, are fully licensed, bonded and insured and have a carefully chosen, trained and experienced staff.
  
• Ranger Safaris buys all new vehicles and has them converted to our own safari specifications. They are usually sold after two years of service. Consequently Ranger has the largest, best equipped and maintained fleet of safari vehicles in Tanzania.
  
• Ranger Safaris is used as a contractor by many of the best known names in the safari business. Now clients have the opportunity of booking direct, benefiting from the tremendous expertise and comprehensive back-up provided by this organisation.
  
• Ranger Safaris may not be the cheapest alternative but does claim to be the best value when quality, reliability, flexibility, security and sheer professionalism are taken into account. A safari is an expensive trip by any standards, and it is worth paying a little more for the best.

• All prices are in US dollars at high season rates and are per person, based on double occupancy of a twin room (excluding the Christmas-New Year period).
• Prices are inclusive of all accommodation, transportation, meals on safari, park fees, licenses, permits, taxes and the services of your driver/guide. The only extras are personal drinks and optional gratuities.
• Reduced rates and accommodation upgrades are available during April-June low season. No single supplements are charged during low season.

A group of four passengers on the same safari may choose any departure day and will be entitled to upgraded accommodation at no extra charge.

Single seats may be booked on all safaris but are subject to a single supplement for accommodation except during April, May and June.

EXCLUSIVE VEHICLE SAFARIS

Any of the above itineraries can be taken with an exclusive vehicle. For a group of 4 or more there will normally be no extra charge for the exclusive vehicle. for two clients requiring an exclusive vehicle, there will be a supplementary charge of around 25%. We can offer groups of 5 or more exclusive vehicles at per person rates lower than the standard "seat in vehicle" costs.

If you do have an exclusive vehicle for your safari then the timing and itinerary becomes completely flexible, within logistical constraints. You will be free to change the start and finish days and times, the places visited and the order in which you visit them to suit your individual preferences and interests.

When you are on safari you can ask your driver/guide to look out specifically for the things you want to see, and take as long looking or photographing them as you want, within your overall timetable.

DRIVER/ GUIDES

Each vehicle, whether on a set date schedule safari or taken on an exclusive vehicle basis, will be driven by a highly experienced driver/ guide employed directly by Rangers. All driver/ guides are responsible for your overall comfort, safety and well- being, as well as simply driving the vehicle and game spotting. They are all fluent in English, and some speak German and other European languages. We will book the one most suitable for your group where possible.

TRANSPORTATION ON SAFARI:

All safaris begin and end in Arusha. Depending on how and where you arrive, you will be collected from and returned to either Mount Meru Hotel (for the Nairobi shuttle bus), Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Arusha local airport. Clients traveling from Nairobi Airport may arrange private transport to and from Arusha.

Set date departures normally use specially converted Nissan safari vehicles with a maximum capacity of 7 passengers; guaranteed window seats and easy access to the roof hatch for game viewing and photography.

Specially adapted Land Rovers or Land Cruisers with a maximum of 5 passengers per vehicle are used on all camping safaris and are available as an option on any other exclusive vehicle safari.
