Location

Located on private land of outstanding beauty, on the north-east coast of Mauritius, Le Prince Maurice is 60 km from the airport and 35 km from the capital city, Port-Louis.

Accommodation

Le Prince Maurice provides 89 suites, cool, simple and very spacious in design, in thatched one- and two-storey units clustered in the grounds around the central building. Some of the 76 Junior Suites (which have a floor area of 70 square metres) and 12 of the Senior suites (130 square metres) are built out over the lagoon, while the other Senior Suites have a private swimming pool. All suites are air-conditioned, with private bath and shower, balcony or terrace, television, video, CD player, minibar, hairdryer, safe, personal fax, and other en-suite facilities. And for the ultimate in style and space there’s the Princely Suite, comprising two Junior Suites and one Senior Suite and a private pool.

Le Prince Maurice offers a range of dining and entertainment opportunities. L' Archipel restaurant located in the main building, overlooks the pool & the beach. It offers a wide range of international cuisine. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Barachois: with its spectacular setting, and an exceptional unspoilt view of a mountain range, this unique floating restaurant (the only one of its kind in Mauritius) is open for lunch and offers daily specials including grills, seafood and Mauritian delicacies.

Activities

Apart from sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing and snorkeling, the guests of the Prince Maurice are invited to take full advantage of the two world-class, 18-hole golf courses – The Legend and The Links – at no extra charge. The two golf courses are situated at the Belle Mare Plage The Resort, which can be reached in 10 minutes by free transport. There are also two tennis courts, an air-conditioned squash court, and a fitness centre which houses the Guerlain Institute for face and body treatments.

There are two seasons: hot from November to April, warm from May to October.

Getting there

While a handful of people arrive by yacht most visitors to Mauritius fly there. Many flights originate in France, but there are also flights from several African, Asian and European capitals as from the US and Australia. You must have a return or onward ticket before arriving in Mauritius.
