"The Governors' Safari" - (6 Days)
For some, it is the crossroads in their lives, an emotional rebirth, a lightning of the spirit at the sight of so many animals and so much space’.
Governors’ opened Kenya’s first exclusive safari camp in the early 1970s, and today it still upholds the best-kept traditions. This safari is small and exclusive, where nights are spent under canvas and days walking and tracking, all in the company of an excellent guide.

DAY 1
Morning depart by road for the Central Highlands and Loldia House. Upon arrival, lunch will be waiting for you, followed by an afternoon activity in this beautiful area. Overnight at Loldia House on a full board and activities basis. |
| LOLDIA HOUSE The early settlers found vast herds of game, huge numbers of predators and a profusion of birdlife around these spectacular lakes. They lived an outdoor lifestyle: riding, hunting, fishing and walking. Loldia House was established by a settler who arrived by ox-wagon just after the Boer War and it’s still owned by the same family today. Nestled under acacia and wild fig trees on the western shores of Lake Naivasha, there are just a handful of comfortable double rooms with en suite bathrooms here. The cuisine and the service are both absolutely first rate. The farm is ideally situated to visit the flamingo lakes of Nakuru and Elementaita, with Nakuru offering excellent viewing chances for white rhino seen amongst an abundance of other bird and animal life. On the farm's 6,500 acres, guests may walk or ride through herds of cattle and a flock of farmed ostriches, interspersed with impala, waterbuck and other plains game. Boat trips may be arranged on Lake Naivasha for fishing and bird-watching, and visits can be made to Hell's Gate National Park with its spectacular canyon, hot springs and high raptor population. Activities are tailor made for each guest. |

LITTLE GOVERNORS
- the Masai Mara In 1976 Little Governor's Camp was built around a small lake that teems with birds and wildlife. The seventeen tents are reached by boat, across the Mara River, and the exquisite setting is serene and romantic. The serenity is only broken by visiting hippo, which graze here at night, and by the rich birdlife that lives near or by the river. It’s like Governors' Camp yet more intimate and entirely under canvas. The tents at Little Governors' are very carefully positioned so that the private verandas overlook a water hole which is extremely popular with game, particularly elephant. Luxurious furnishings, private bathrooms, a fully stocked bar, wonderful service and a highly experienced French Chef ensure that travellers experience a true safari yet enjoy a high degree of comfort. |
