Viewing Activities:

Africa's Big Five Game
Animals: an Adventurer's Dream Destination! Singita has abundant
wildlife, with a higher bio-mass of animals per hectare than the
internationally renowned Kruger National Park.
The park has a
tremendous trove of wildlife treasures with the crown jewels being
Africa's fearsome big five: elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and
rhino. For guests wanting private drives, Landrovers can be hired.
The
nocturnal safaris open up a totally new world and a powerful spotlight
illuminates the shy and sometimes rare wildlife. |
 |
 |
This is Africa's big game terrain, so your
days and early nights will blissfully revolve around spectacular game
viewing drives in Landrovers. Driving in open safari Landrovers allows
for panoramic vision of the bush. Only six people are permitted per
vehicle, leaving space for photographic and binocular equipment. On
night safaris, when the heat of the day has subsided, the predators
such as lion, leopard, hyena, black backed jackal and the owls start
their hunting.
Drinks are served in the
bush at sunset as a gentle introduction to the nocturnal bush. At Singita you can
witness a spectacular lion kill, then wait for the spotted hyena to
arrive. Undisturbed, a giraffe gives birth, lions mate, cubs suckle, a
gigantic tree is toppled by an elephant. Take a morning walk with a Shangaan tracker and espy the little five - the rhino beetle, elephant
shrew, buffalo weaver, ant lion and leopard tortoise. |
