Beautifully handcrafted from local timer on raised
Teak platforms and affording magnificent views over the surrounding
floodplains of the Delta, the main building comprises the dining room,
lounge, bar and reference library, and opens out onto the expansive
sundecks and plunge pool.
Here,
elegant silver service meals are served by candlelight after which guests
may retire to the open air boma to reminisce over the day's game viewing
and activities around a blazing camp fire, surrounded by the sounds and
incomparable stars of the African night.
The
magnificent elevated main building overlooks the floodplain and is
made from local timber, reed and thatch. There is a dining room,
lounge and expansive sundecks. The elevated observation platform
offers unobstructed views over the floodplain. There is an outside
dining and campfire area, a swimming pool, curio shop and interpretive
centre.
The
camp's main area is an open residence of ragged-edge thatch and
burnished teak, bearing all of the grace of a gentlemen's club. There
are finely-panelled walls inset with enormous mirrors, bookshelves and
sculptural wooden artefacts collected from around Africa. |
