There is nothing as
magical as floating over Africa in the gondola of a colorful hot air
balloon. With no buildings or electrical lines, and very few trees,
your view of the horizon is dynamic, and even from 1,000 feet, one can
grasp the curvature of the earth. Below, you may see herds of
wildebeest, buffalo, zebra or elephant, and the sound of the balloon
burner may flush a leopard from hiding. |
| |
|
| After about an hour aloft,
you land to enjoy a champagne brunch in the middle of nowhere; the
propane burner used to inspire the silk envelope is now employed to
cook your eggs to order and warm your toast. Fresh juices, mango and
pineapple are also served, delivered by a ground crew that follows your
flight. After receiving your certificate for having achieved such great
heights in Africa, you return to your camp or lodge, spotting more
wildlife on this mid-morning game drive. Gondola space is limited and
bookings should be made well before you depart the USA |
