Lukimbi Safari Lodge
is a stunning new lodge situated in the easily accessible southern
portion of the Kruger
National Park. The challenge was to build a lodge that would
look unique and artistic and would reflect the surrounding bush, as
well as the spirit of
African myths and legends. This is a lodge with
art, color and exciting
furnishing, but at the same time your eye is drawn outwards to
the beckoning bush beyond.
The openness
of the architecture ensures that you are aware of the bird calls and
movements of the animals outside. However, the height of the lodge
above the river provides a viewing point with a
feeling of safety.
The raised walkways provide guests with clear and easy access to their
suites. |

Accommodations:
Raised
walkways lead guests to 16 spacious suites, all combining luxury and
modern African decor with stunning river views.
The ultra luxurious Giant Eagle Owl Suite and King Cheetah Suite also
have a private pool, dining room and second bathroom.
All suites are air-conditioned, have fans, safes, mini bars, as well
as tea and coffee facilities. Private decks leading out towards the
river provide the ideal place to relax or enjoy bird spotting and game
viewing in peace and tranquility. |

Curio Shop
The well stocked curio shop
features South African
artistic creations, as well as interesting clothes and
curios.
The Boma
This unusual boma (or meeting
place) serves as the magical setting for
firelit dinners.
Handpacked freeform walls provide a dramatic backdrop for the chef's
gourmet meals. |

A very
well equipped gym
is available. It looks directly out onto the river frontage, so not
a moment's game viewing need be lost.
Pool
The beautiful pool
features a waterfall
dropping into the jacuzzi
cavern, before flowing gently into the main swimming pool. |

Massage and beauty therapy
is available and bookings can be made either ahead or at the lodge.
Lukimbi will arrange
activities to suit guests, so
picnics, bush breakfasts or dinners can all be arranged. Otherwise,

Game Viewing:
|
The main activities
are game drives and walks with a
highly trained Ranger and
Tracker. Game Drives go out at dawn and in the late afternoon
and last for several hours. |
