Camp
Moremi is situated on the beautiful Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern
extremity of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Wildlife Reserve.
Here,
where the life-giving waters of the Okavango meets up with the vast
Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and
riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and
welcoming animal sanctuaries in all Africa.
Access is by charter aircraft
from Maun and Kasane (served by daily road transfers from Victoria Falls)
to Xakanaxa airstrip. Camp Moremi may also be reached by 4x4 drive vehicle
or unique boat transfer from Camp Okavango. |

Accommodations:
| Camp Moremi accommodates
only 22 guests in intimate exclusivity in walk-in East African style
safari tents with private hot showers and waterborne toilets.
Each
tent is exquisitely furnished with a Rhodesian Teak wardrobe,
luggage rack, dressing table, bedside pedestals and traditional
directors chairs, colorful woven rugs, designer linen and matching
interior blinds complete your African hideaway. |

Shaded
by giant Ebony trees, the magnificent Moremi tree Lodge is an
elegant elevated thatch and timber structure comprising of a main
lounge, wildlife reference library, dining room and stylishly
decorated cocktail bar cooled by overhead punkah-punkah fans. The
large sundeck affords an unsurpassed view of the Xakanaxa Lagoon.
A curio shop, swimming pool, covered boma and elevated observation
platform assures Camp Moremi of its status as Botswana's finest Safari
Lodge. General power (AC 220v) is available during the day and evening.
Video batteries can be re-charged. Solar powered lighting is available at
night. Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club cars are accepted, but
unfortunately not American Express. |

Moremi
Wildlife Reserve supports the most diverse habitat and animal
populations in Botswana, with possible sightings of wild dog,
cheetah and leopards being the highlights. Resident species include
lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, hyaena, zebra, kudu, lechwe,
sable and roan antelope.
You can
thrill to the excitement of tracking these on open Landrover
gamedrives conducted by experienced resident naturalists.
Birdwatching is excellent throughout the year, with powerboat visits
to the heronries on Gadikwe and Xakanaxa lagoons a highlight in the
summer months.
Camp
Moremi also offers excellent fishing, assuring you of the most
complete lodge experience in Botswana. |
