Africa, as the pioneers knew it, on foot, with intrigue at every step. Your guide leads a maximum of 4 guests along the time-worn trails of antelope and elephant, unveiling the mystery of the virgin bush.

Your walking safari is a 5 night adventure into the wilderness of the Reserve, led by your very experienced armed professional guide and a bushman tracker. Morning walks are conducted at a leisurely pace, ending at a comfortable fly-camp where the luxury of iced drinks and delicious meals await you. Gentle evening strolls are followed by dinner cooked over an open fire - with, naturally, a glass of chilled wine!

"The best safari experience is the one closest to nature and there is no substitute for walking, until you have had enough, and then forgetting exhaustion as you spot the magnificent creatures. Elephant, giraffe, cheetah. Then stalking or crawling in close, until you smell the elephant or hear the giraffe chew the acacia thorns. Finally, to let its life undisturbed, to leave it, quietly, as you found it".
(Bartle Bull)
Your overnight tents are mini Meru, mosquito proof, and fitted with single beds with firm mattresses, full linen, clothing shelf and soar lighting. Out front is a wood stand with pottery basin and water jug.

Nearby is an open air hot/cold bucket shower and long drop toilet. Laundry is washed and ironed daily. Preparation of meals is carried out by the Trails Hostess around the camp fire, with open air dining. Your safari guide is in radio contact with his partner at all times and a support vehicle is available for the duration of the safari. the walk is relatively easy over flat firm ground, with some sandy patches.

The safari duration is three days walking with two nights in trails camps. There is approximately 8 kilometers inter-camp walking per day and 4 kilometers casual walking in the vicinity of each trails camp.

The safari starts and ends at one of the permanent camps.
