Kasaka River Lodge
(Lower Zambezi - Zambia)

Location:

Kasaka River Lodge  is located opposite Mana  Pools World Heritage Site on the banks of the Zambezi River  in Zambia. The deck is high on the banks of the river and provides a spectacular viewpoint for watching the sunset and  activities on the River. The dining and bar areas are shaded by large  Tamarind  trees.

The camp  is built on private property in the Chiawa Game Management area, approximately six km from the Lower Zambezi National Park boundary.

The name Kasakasaka is a Tonga word meaning  a small bush specifically relating to  the  combretum or Jesse Bush of the famed Chongwe Jesse Bush thickets.
Accommodation:

This is a small, exclusive camp accommodating only sixteen guests in eight large well ventilated mosquito proof tents under shade cloth.

All chalets overlook the Zambezi River. Each tent is raised on a slasto plinth and offers maximum privacy.

All chalets have  spacious en suite shower and toilet facilities with ample storage space.

Four of the chalets including the honeymoon suite are connected by elevated  walkways which allow for easy movement  of  elephants within the camp.

The honeymoon suite is very special with a large double bed and  open air bath looking directly onto the river.

Facilities:

The dining room overlooks the Zambezi River in an open sided tented chitenge and is cooled by the shade of large Tamarind trees.

Occasionally guests are treated to a surprise dinner setting in the National Park during their game drive. Meals are created to international standards and we  cater for all preferences.
