Facilities / Attractions:
| Whether you make your wine
selection from the bar or visit our cellar, we are certain you will
find something special to enjoy. The best of South African wines are
selected with care, and we are sure that you will enjoy trying
different wines as much as we did.
No need to stop enjoying game
viewing for meals, our covered deck has no walls to block your
enjoyment. This is where we serve a full breakfast, delicious lunch
and tempting tea. Unless we whisk you away to another great venue, of
course |
 |
| Relaxing round our boulder
pool is a great place to be in the middle of a warm day.
Stretch out
in the sun or under a shady canopy of trees, watch the birds as they
swoop and dip round the water or just lie back, close your eyes and
enjoy the sounds of the bush. Step onto our gently swaying bridge and
you cross over to the sunken hide.
From inside its cool walls, you
look directly onto the dam and the animals as they cross untroubled in
front of you. The hide is designed especially for photographers, so
make sure you have plenty of film. |
 |
| After an exciting night
drive, guests gather at the thatched bar to swap tales of all the
great sightings. Then it's into the boma and under the moonlit skies,
time to enjoy a feast. Our talented chefs combine the best of European
and African cuisine, and venison is featured regularly. Rangers sit
with guests at all meals, so you can continue hearing the best of bush
tales. Dinner in the bush is
something no visitor will forget. From the time you arrive to see the
firefly light of many lanterns, you know you are in for something
special. Mouth-watering smells drift into the air as you stand around
the fire. Glasses of red wine glow in the firelight, with darkness and
the bush beyond the magical circle of sand. As you sit enjoying a
traditional South African dinner, the quiet conversations of the
guests is broken by awe inspiring roar of a nearby lion or the
predatory hoot of a spotted eagle owl on the hunt. |
